Spine Stretch (Level 1)

You could work on lengthening your hamstrings whilst doing this version of the Spine Stretch in your Original 34 routine if you struggle to straighten up your legs. You can also try raising your bottom on a cushion to make it more comfortable. Whatever you do, don’t miss this one out as it’s an important stretch as well as strengthening the back muscles because you start in a tall sitting position.

This is the last exercise in the First 8. Practice practice practice before moving onto the next block of the Original 34.

Transition: You’ll stay sitting tall on your sits bones, ready to straighten the legs into a V for the Open Leg Rocker.
